If we get nothing else clear now, we need to get this clear in our heads and in our actions:

The distinction between natural and supernatural is in our minds and thoughts. It is not in our living selves and in our Christian lives. The two, nature and grace, are not two different existing things, they are one existing reality in our Christian selves.

Consequently,  everything I do is done along with God creating and redeeming me, since I live in the time after Jesus has done His work.  God is continually saving, redeeming me by His action in my life and by His Spirit’s inspiration.  Concretely, God is saving me from that life that ends with my time in my death. This is how we differ from the deliberately unbelieving lives of some around us.

Before we say amen, think of the prayer attributed to St. Teresa of Calcutta:

Christ has no body but yours,
No hands, no feet on earth but yours,
Yours are the eyes with which he looks
Compassion on this world.

Now pray it in this way:

Christ has no body but mine,
No hands, no feet on earth but mine,
Mine are the eyes with which he looks
Compassion on this world.

Now we may say an amen. AMEN.
