America right now seems to be in confusion, looking down blind alleys, walking empty streets. Plenty of us find the head of our national government no help right now. What’s going on seems to be beyond their grasp.
This and worse is what it was like for the eleven and the women who stayed with Jesus until He was taken away from them, His body in a cold stone tomb. And that was beyond their grasp.
What is to come will not be beyond our grasp. What a gift to us: we know this will end for us in a glorious morning when the Redeemer comes back. It may be to each of us, when we go to sleep and wake to find Him waiting with outstretched arms.
He has promised not only to be there, but to come back with His angels and the saints. And then there’s the eternal Spring knowing our God not in faith but by sight.
Meanwhile: We rejoice now in the vivid, certain hope.
