Advent is a time of waiting, Waiting can be looked at from two ends.  The first is from the present end. Now.  And the other is from the far end. Then.

This is how Advent shows  us, if we pay attention to it, how it goes with us.  If we are in a good space, the NOW is just fine, though what is to come is much, much better.

If we are in a bad space, the THEN is just fine.  Because at the end  of  our  waiting, the real waiting that gets into our bone marrow, is the Coming of the Lord. 

THEN  He will set all tings right.
