Jorge Mario Bergoglio, Pope Francis, is now gone from us. We know that he fully expected to be with God in Christ when he went through death.
Now it is our turn. We declare, in what we say and love and in what we do—that we fully expect to be with God in Christ when we go through death. We do not need to raise our v voices and we do not need, in our nation and time, to fear that we will be killed for our beliefs.
We quietly go about our lives, steadily doing the next good thing as we see it now, praying in our own way , daily, and regularly receiving the Bread and Cup in memory of Me – in Communion with our community.
If we feel when we say this that it seems nothing big or important, we want to recognize this as a temptation to ignore what God is achieving in us and among us on this earth now:
Christ has no body now but ours,
No hands, no feet on earth but ours.
Ours are the eyes with which He looks
with compassion on this world.
Christ has no body now on earth
but ours.
And this is how we esteem one another and this is how we love one another. Amen
